| Abstract: | Attitude to topics of federal and local politics and judgement on the parties. Topics: importance of areas of life; sympathy scale for SPD, CDU/CSU and FDP; behavior at the polls in the Federal Parliament election 1961 and in the municipal elections 1964; party preference and party identification; pair comparison of parties one can vote for; party one cannot vote for; expectations of the member of Parliament of the constituency; familiarity and party affiliation of the candidates in the respective constituency; influence of sympathy for the candidate on behavior at the polls; issue ability of the parties as well as of local political personalities; judgement on the conduct of the Federal Government on coal mining; most important municipal political tasks; solidarity with the Ruhrgebiet; attitude to territory reform and the so-called German community work; attitudes to locating industry at place of residence; judgement on shopping opportunities; judgement on the economic situation of the FRG; membership in professional organizations and personal tie with the organization; religious ties; membership in a party and party identification; local residency.
